Description

Cytokeratin Antibody (YA5630) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to Cytokeratin. It can be applicated for IHC-P, WB, ICC/IF, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse, rat.
Background

Cytokeratin plays a role in establishing the epidermal barrier in plantar skin (by similar). It is involved in maintaining cell layer development and keratin filament bundles in suprabasal epithelial cells (by similar). In microbial infections, Cytokeratin mediates S.aureus adherence to desquamated nasal epithelial cells via clfB, potentially contributing to nasal colonization. Additionally, it binds S.pneumoniae PsrP, facilitating bacterial adherence to lung cell lines. Reduced KRT10 keratin levels decrease adherence, while overexpression enhances it. This interaction does not require glycosylation of either protein.
