Description	Cleaved-Caspase 9 Antibody (YA852) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to Cleaved-Caspase 9.
Background	Caspase-9 is a key protease involved in the activation cascade of caspases during apoptosis execution. Its binding to Apaf-1 forms the apoptosome, activating downstream effector caspases caspase-3 (CASP3) or caspase-7 (CASP7). It promotes DNA damage-induced apoptosis via the ABL1/c-Abl-dependent pathway and cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). When DIABLO/SMAC inhibits BIRC6-caspase binding, it cleaves BIRC6 (by similar: PubMed:36758105, PubMed:36758106). Its inactive mutant acts as a dominant-negative inhibitor of caspase-9.
