Description

CD369 Antibody (YA4466) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to CD369. It can be applicated for ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

Background

CD369 is a lectin that functions as a pattern recognition receptor (PRR) specific for beta-1,3-linked and beta-1,6-linked glucans, which are components of pathogenic bacterial and fungal cell walls. It is necessary for the TLR2-mediated inflammatory response and activation of NF-kappa-B: upon binding beta-glucan, it recruits SYK via its ITAM motif and triggers a signaling cascade that activates certain CARD domain-BCL10-MALT1 (CBM) signalosomes, leading to the activation of NF-kappa-B and MAP kinase p38 (MAPK11, MAPK12, MAPK13, and/or MAPK14) pathways, which stimulate the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines (by similar). It enhances cytokine production in macrophages and dendritic cells (by similar) and mediates reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation in cells (by similar). Additionally, CD369 mediates phagocytosis of C. albicans conidia and binds to T-cells independently of their surface glycans, playing a role in T-cell activation and proliferation. It also induces phosphorylation of SCIMP upon beta-glucan binding (by similar).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
