CD33 Antibody (YA3860)

CD33 Antibody (YA3860) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to CD33. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

CD33 is a sialic-acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) involved in mediating cell-cell interactions and maintaining immune cells in a resting state. It preferentially recognizes and binds alpha-2,3- and more avidly alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid-bearing glycans. Upon ligand engagement (e.g., C1q or sialylated glycoproteins), two immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs) in its cytoplasmic tail are phosphorylated by Src-like kinases (e.g., LCK), recruiting and activating protein-tyrosine phosphatases PTPN6/SHP-1 and PTPN11/SHP-2. These phosphatases regulate downstream pathways by dephosphorylating signaling molecules. One inhibitory effect of CD33 on monocyte activation requires phosphoinositide 3-kinase/PI3K.
