Caspase-5 p20 Antibody is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG polyclonal antibody, targeting to Caspase-5 p20.

Caspase-5 p20 is a thiol protease that mediates programmed cell death. It initiates pyroptosis by cleaving Gasdermin-D (GSDMD), releasing the N-terminal gasdermin domain (Gasdermin-D, N-terminal) to bind membranes and form pores, thereby triggering pyroptosis. Additionally, it mediates the cleavage and maturation of IL18. The cleavage of GSDMD and IL18 does not strictly depend on the consensus cleavage site but relies on an exosite interface on CASP4. During non-canonical inflammasome activation, it cleaves CGAS and may play a role in regulating antiviral innate immune activation. by similar: Caspase-4 and Caspase-5 share functional similarities, both participating in the non-canonical inflammasome pathway and pyroptosis.

  Western blot analysis of extracts from Hela using Caspase-5 p20 antibody. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and Loading control antibody (GAPDH, 1/3000) was diluted with 5% nonfat powdered milk in PBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1/8,000) was incubated for 45min at room temperature.
