Description

Calumenin Antibody (YA5246) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to Calumenin. It can be applicated for WB assays, in the background of human, mouse.

Background

Calumenin protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of vitamin K-dependent carboxylation, particularly targeting multiple N-terminal glutamate residues. Notably, it appears to function as an inhibitor of gamma-carboxylase GGCX. This protein exhibits an ability to bind seven calcium ions, albeit with low affinity, underscoring its intricate involvement in calcium-dependent molecular processes. Additionally, calumenin establishes interaction with GGCX, emphasizing its role in modulating the carboxylation events associated with specific glutamate residues.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
