Description	Calpain 2 Antibody (YA572) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to Calpain 2.
Background	Calpain 2 is a calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease that catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction. It proteolytically cleaves MYOC at 'Arg-226'. Additionally, following neuronal stimulation, Calpain 2 cleaves CPEB3, abolishing its translational repressor activity and leading to the translation of CPEB3 target mRNAs (By similarity).
