C3C Antibody (YA3594) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to C3C. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human.

C3C is a precursor of non-enzymatic components in the classical, alternative, lectin, and GZMK complement pathways, which form a cascade of proteins leading to pathogen phagocytosis, breakdown, and adaptive immune system signaling. As a non-enzymatic component of C5 convertase, C3b covalently binds to cell surface carbohydrates or immune aggregates via its reactive thioester, recruiting complement C2b with C4b to form the C5 convertase that activates C5. In the alternative pathway, C3b recruits CFB to form the C5 convertase. C3a, released after C3 convertase cleavage, acts as a local inflammatory mediator by binding to C3AR1, triggering G protein-coupled receptor signaling and promoting inflammation through immune cell activation. Additionally, C3C functions as an adipogenic hormone, stimulating triglyceride synthesis and glucose transport in adipocytes via PLC, MAPK, and AKT pathways, regulating fat storage and postprandial triglyceride clearance. C5a serves as a chemoattractant for neutrophils in chronic inflammation. by similar: C3a and C5a mediate inflammation and metabolic regulation through their respective receptors, C3AR1 and C5AR2.
