Background	C10orf63 is an adapter protein that functions to localize a calcium-sensitive signal transduction machinery in sperm to a calcium-permeable ion channel (by similar). It also acts as a microtubule inner protein (MIP) within the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) of cilia axonemes, essential for motile cilia beating.
