Description

BACH1 Antibody (YA2061) is a non-conjugated IgG antibody, targeting BACH1, with a predicted molecular weight of 141 kDa (observed band size: 105 kDa). BACH1 Antibody (YA2061) can be used for WB experiment in human background.

Background

BACH1 is a DNA-dependent ATPase and 5'-3' DNA helicase essential for maintaining chromosomal stability. It acts late in the Fanconi anemia pathway, following FANCD2 ubiquitination. BACH1 participates in homologous recombination repair of DNA double-strand breaks through its association with BRCA1 and facilitates the repair of abasic sites at replication forks by promoting the degradation of DNA-protein cross-links. Its helicase activity unfolds HMCES DNA-protein cross-links, enabling SPRTN metalloprotease to cleave the adduct. Additionally, BACH1 unwinds RNA:DNA substrates and G-quadruplex DNA (the latter requiring a 5'-single-stranded tail). by similar: BACH1 is involved in diverse DNA repair mechanisms, including homologous recombination and cross-link repair.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
