ATF6 Antibody (YA831) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to ATF6.

ATF6 is a precursor of the transcription factor form (Processed cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-6 alpha), embedded in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Endoplasmic reticulum stress promotes its processing, releasing the transcription factor form that translocates into the nucleus to activate transcription of genes involved in the unfolded protein response (UPR). This transcription factor initiates UPR by binding to the 5'-CCAC[GA]-3' half-site of ER stress response elements (ERSE and ERSE II), requiring NF-Y binding to ERSE. It may also participate in serum response factor (SRF)-mediated transcriptional activation and play a role in foveal development and cone function in the retina. by similar: potentially involved in foveal development and cone function in the retina.

  Western blot analysis of extracts from Hela(lane 2(20μg) , jurkat(lane 3(20μg) and RAW264.7(lane 4(20ug) using ATF6 (HY-P80379 Rabbit mAb. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/1000) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80438, 1/10000) was used in 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (1/10000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
