ARID1A Antibody (YA1158) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA1158), targeting ARID1A. ARID1A Antibody (YA1158) can be used for IHC-P experiment in human background.

ARID1A is involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes through chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). As a component of SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes, it carries out ATP-dependent enzymatic activities to modify chromatin structure by altering DNA-histone contacts. It binds DNA non-specifically and is part of the neural progenitor-specific chromatin remodeling complex (npBAF) and the neuron-specific complex (nBAF). During neural development, a transition occurs from a stem/progenitor chromatin remodeling mechanism to a postmitotic mechanism as neurons mature. The npBAF complex (containing ACTL6A/BAF53A and PHF10/BAF45A) is replaced by homologous subunits (ACTL6B/BAF53B and DPF1/BAF45B or DPF3/BAF45C) in nBAF complexes during neuronal differentiation. The npBAF complex is essential for the self-renewal/proliferative capacity of neural stem cells, while the nBAF complex, along with CREST, regulates genes critical for dendrite growth (By similarity).
