Description

Aquaporin 1 Antibody (YA1149) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA1149), targeting Aquaporin 1. Aquaporin 1 Antibody (YA1149) can be used for IHC-P experiment in human background.

Background

Aquaporin 1 forms a water channel that facilitates water transport across cell membranes, playing a key role in water homeostasis across various tissues. It may also be permeable to small solutes like hydrogen peroxide, glycerol, and gases such as ammonia (NH3), nitric oxide (NO), and carbon dioxide (CO2). In erythrocyte membranes, it is recruited to the ankyrin-1 complex, potentially acting as part of a CO2 metabolon to link facilitated CO2 diffusion, Cl(-)/HCO3(-) anion exchange, and interconversion of dissolved CO2 and carbonic acid in the cytosol. In vitro, it exhibits non-selective gated cation channel activity and may allow passage of cations like K(+) and Na(+) in vivo. by similar: Its permeability may extend to other small solutes and gases.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
