APPL Antibody (YA2135) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA2135), targeting APPL, with a predicted molecular weight of 80 kDa (observed band size: 80 kDa). APPL Antibody (YA2135) can be used for WB, IHC-P experiment in human, mouse, rat background.
Background

APPL is a multifunctional adapter protein that binds to various membrane receptors, nuclear factors, and signaling proteins to regulate processes such as cell proliferation, immune response, endosomal trafficking, and cell metabolism. It modulates the signaling pathway leading to cell proliferation through interactions with RAB5A and subunits of the NuRD/MeCP1 complex. In innate immune response, APPL acts as a positive regulator by forming a complex with APPL1 and PIK3R1 to activate the AKT1 signaling pathway (By similarity). It inhibits Fc-gamma receptor-mediated phagocytosis in macrophages via PI3K/Akt signaling (By similarity) and regulates TLR4 signaling in activated macrophages (By similarity). APPL is involved in the microtubule-dependent trafficking of TGFBR1 from endosomes to the nucleus in a TRAF6-dependent manner. It also plays a role in cell metabolism by regulating adiponectin and insulin signaling pathways. Additionally, APPL is required for fibroblast migration through HGF cell signaling (By similarity) and positively regulates beta-catenin/TCF-dependent transcription by directly interacting with RUVBL2/reptin, relieving RUVBL2-mediated repression of beta-catenin/TCF target genes.
