Description

ApoO Antibody (YA4735) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated monoclonal antibody, targeting to ApoO. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse.

Background

ApoO is a component of the MICOS complex, a large protein complex in the mitochondrial inner membrane that plays critical roles in maintaining crista junctions, inner membrane architecture, and forming contact sites with the outer membrane. It is essential for crista junction formation and mitochondrial function. ApoO can promote cardiac lipotoxicity by enhancing mitochondrial respiration and fatty acid metabolism in cardiac myoblasts. Additionally, it facilitates cholesterol efflux from macrophage cells and is detected in HDL, LDL, and VLDL. ApoO is secreted via a microsomal triglyceride transfer protein (MTTP)-dependent mechanism, likely as a VLDL-associated protein that is later transferred to HDL. by similar functions include its role in cholesterol metabolism and lipoprotein transport.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
