Description	Angiopoietin 1 Antibody is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody, targeting Angiopoietin 1. Angiopoietin 1 Antibody can be used for WB, IHC-P experiments in human, rat backgrounds.
Background	Angiopoietin 1 (ANGPT1) is a key regulator of vascular development and homeostasis that binds and activates the TEK/TIE2 receptor through dimerization and tyrosine phosphorylation. It plays dual roles in angiogenesis: maintaining vascular quiescence in mature vessels by promoting TEK-mediated PI3K-AKT1 signaling at cell-cell contacts, while stimulating sprouting angiogenesis in developing vessels via TEK-dependent activation of PTK2/FAK-MAPK/ERK pathways at matrix contacts. Essential for embryonic angiogenesis and cardiac development, ANGPT1 continues to regulate vascular stability postnatally through context-dependent mechanisms distinct from VEGF, mediating critical endothelial-matrix and endothelial-mesenchymal interactions.
