Background

AHA1 serves as a co-chaperone for HSP90AA1, stimulating its ATPase activity to enhance chaperone function. It competitively binds to HSP90AA1 against inhibitory co-chaperones FNIP1 (by similar) and TSC1, establishing a reciprocal regulatory mechanism for client protein folding.
