Description	Aconitase 2 Antibody (YA2151) is a Rabbit-derived and non-conjugated IgG monoclonal antibody, targeting to Aconitase 2.
Background	Aconitase 2 is an iron-sulfur enzyme containing a [4Fe-4S] cluster that catalyzes the interconversion of citrate and isocitrate via cis-aconitate, playing a pivotal role in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and glyoxylate cycle. Highly sensitive to oxidative damage, its [4Fe-4S] cluster can be disrupted by reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (e.g., superoxide, H2O2, NO), leading to iron release and cellular oxidative stress. The enzyme’s activity is regulated by magnesium concentration and citrate/isocitrate ratio, with thioredoxin aiding in reactivating its oxidized catalytic center.
