Description

eIF4EBP3 Antibody (YA1080) is a Mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 monoclonal antibody, targeting to eIF4EBP3.
Background

EIF4EBP3 is a repressor of translation initiation that regulates EIF4E activity by preventing its assembly into the eIF4F complex. The hypophosphorylated form competes with EIF4G1/EIF4G3 and strongly binds to EIF4E, leading to translation repression, whereas the hyperphosphorylated form dissociates from EIF4E, enabling EIF4G1/EIF4G3-EIF4E interaction and subsequent translation initiation (By similarity). It also inhibits EIF4E-mediated mRNA nuclear export.
