  3. 6PGD-IN-2

6PGD-IN-2 is an uncompetitive 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6PGD) inhibitor with an IC50 of 5.1 μM. 6PGD-IN-2 disrupts 6PGD oligomerization in a substrate-dependent manner. 6PGD-IN-2 results in a decrease of NADPH and Ru-5-P production as well as DNA synthesis in A549 cells. 6PGD-IN-2 can used for the studies of non-small cell carcinoma and liver cancer.

Description

6PGD-IN-2 is an uncompetitive 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6PGD) inhibitor with an IC50 of 5.1 μM. 6PGD-IN-2 disrupts 6PGD oligomerization in a substrate-dependent manner. 6PGD-IN-2 results in a decrease of NADPH and Ru-5-P production as well as DNA synthesis in A549 cells. 6PGD-IN-2 can used for the studies of non-small cell carcinoma and liver cancer[1].

In Vitro

Enpp-1-IN-27 (Compound 19n) (0-300 μM) exhibits non-competitive inhibition characteristics against both 6PG and NADP+, with inhibition constants (Ki) of 64 μM (6PG) and 9.5 μM (NADP+), respectively[1].
Enpp-1-IN-27 (0-10 μM, 72 h-14 d) inhibits A549 cells (antiviability potency with an EC50 of 9.0 μM) and Huh7 cells proliferation and colony formation[1].
6PGD-IN-2 (0-40 μM) reduces the NADPH/NADP+ ratio, Ru-5-P levels, and DNA synthesis in A549 cells[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
