2,4-Dinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (sodium salt) is a hapten. 2,4-Dinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (sodium salt) can induce the proliferation of primary lymphocytes and epithelial cells isolated from guinea pigs that are sensitized to 2, 4-DNCB. 2,4-Dinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (sodium salt) inhibits contact sensitivity induced by 2, 4-DNCB in guinea pigs. 2,4-Dinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (sodium salt) can induce ulcerative colitis in rodent models.
