10-Methoxy-canthin-6-one (Mtx-C) is analkaloid derivative. 10-Methoxy-canthin-6-one can induce DNA damage by intercalating into DNA. 10-Methoxy-canthin-6-one can inhibit cancer cells proliferation, cause G2/M phase arrest and induce myeloid differentiation. 10-Methoxy-canthin-6-one (2-4 μM, 72 h) induces G2/M phase cell cycle arrest in Kasumi-1 and KG-1 cells[1].
