IL-6R Antibody (YA3720)

IL-6R Antibody (YA3720) is a mouse-derived and non-conjugated IgG1 antibody, targeting to CD126. It can be applicated for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC, ELISA assays, in the background of human, mouse.

CD126 is part of the receptor for interleukin 6 (IL6), binding to IL6 with low affinity but not transducing a signal (PubMed:28265003). Signal activation requires association with IL6ST, leading to regulation of immune response, acute-phase reactions, and hematopoiesis (PubMed:30995492, PubMed:31235509). Interaction with membrane-bound IL6R and IL6ST stimulates 'classic signaling,' limited to tissues like the liver and certain immune cells due to restricted IL6R expression. Binding of IL6 and soluble IL6R (sIL6R) to IL6ST triggers 'trans-signaling,' while 'cluster signaling' occurs when membrane-bound IL6:IL6R complexes activate IL6ST on neighboring cells (Probable). Membrane-bound IL6R signaling is primarily regenerative and anti-inflammatory (Probable). CD126 drives naive CD4(+) T cells toward the Th17 lineage via dendritic cell-mediated 'cluster signaling' (By similar). The soluble IL6R (sIL6R) acts as an IL6 agonist (PubMed:21990364), forming the IL6:sIL6R complex (hyper-IL6) that binds IL6ST/gp130 to induce 'trans-signaling' even in cells lacking membrane-bound IL6R. sIL6R underlies IL6's pro-inflammatory effects and contributes to chronic inflammatory diseases (PubMed:21990364). In complex with IL6, CD126 is required for VEGF induction (PubMed:12794819). It plays a protective role in liver injury by supporting tissue regeneration (By similar). In the central nervous system, 'trans-signaling' regulates energy and glucose homeostasis (By similar).
