IL-12 beta Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His)

IL-12 beta protein binds to IL23A to produce the cytokine IL-23, which is critical for innate and adaptive immunity. IL-23, together with IL-17, orchestrates immediate infection responses in peripheral tissues. IL-12 beta Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived IL-12 beta protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

The IL-12 beta Protein partners with IL23A, forming the IL-23 interleukin, a heterodimeric cytokine with essential functions in both innate and adaptive immunity. In conjunction with IL-17, IL-23 may orchestrate an immediate response to infection in peripheral tissues. Through binding to a heterodimeric receptor complex comprising IL12RB1 and IL23R, IL-23 initiates the Jak-Stat signaling cascade, preferentially stimulating memory T-cells over naive T-cells, and fostering the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Implicated in the induction of autoimmune inflammation, IL-23 may play a crucial role in autoimmune inflammatory diseases and tumorigenesis. Additionally, this cytokine acts as a growth factor for activated T and NK cells, amplifies the lytic activity of NK/lymphokine-activated killer cells, and triggers the production of IFN-gamma by resting PBMC.
